Fun Things To Do in Oaxaca City

Who said Oaxaca is not a fun place? Yes, it's a very cultural, architectonic and historic city, but there are some really fun things to do here!
This is the Top 10 List of Fun Activities to do in Oaxaca. Number one is the funniest place around Oaxaca City, the Arbol del Tule. This is a 2000 years old cypress with a 14.36 meters of diameter trunk, The fun part is looking for all kinds of shapes in the trunk, and this is not an easy task, but the kids of the region will help you. They are so fun to hear and watch. There are lions, crocodiles, gnomes, faces, squirrels and more hidden in the trunk.
All the pre-Hispanic sites are fun to visit. Yes, they are historic and have a great deal of cultural information, but it's always fun to feel like an adventurous archeologist discovering these magical sites. To look for shapes and great photo views it's also fun. I can assure you your visit to these ruins and pyramids will never be boring. Monte Alban, Mitla, Yagul, Zaachila, Dainzu and Lambityeco, they're all different, but you'll enjoy them all.
Cuilapan is also a fun place to go. This is a convent that never was finished, so it doesn't has a ceiling. There are some almost not excavated ruins nearby, so that's fun too, be sure to ask the locals about these.
In the cty, both the Mercado de Artesanias and the Zocalo are a fun way to spend the afternoon, listening to music, shopping, and enjoying the Oaxaca culture.
