Photo Friday: Bridging the Gap
Photo Friday — By Nicole Lerner on February 13, 2009 at 11:02 amIn what NileGuide destination was this photo taken? Bonus points for naming the body of water.
UPDATE 2/16: The photo shows the 25 de Abril bridge, a suspension bridge over the Tagus River which connects Lisbon to the municipality of Almada. It is often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco.

What a nice picnic in front of the scenic Golden Gate Bridge! Just kidding – Might this lovely scene be in the lovely land of Lisbon? Don’t let my guess be the only one!
Hawaiia. I love that they built bridges between the islands – makes it SO much easier to get from Oahu to Kauai.
Oh Jeez. HAWAII. I can’t spell on Fridays.
I think that this is a nice little place called Treasure Island…or maybe Angel Island?!
Please let this be the right place!!!
I’m with Tyler on this one, I think it’s Lisbon. I don’t know the name of the body of water but I do know the guy in the track suit is named Steve.
I do believe that’s the bridge on the river kwai
Nice guess Meredith! I sure hope you’re right too.
Brian…come on man! Just kidding – thanks for playing!
Fort Mason, San Francisco.
Or Lisbon. I’m covering all the bases.
Nice picnic spot, I agree. I think the color and general shape of the bridge are quite similar to the Golden Gate bridge in San Fransisco.
