Tourists Arrested for Skinny Dipping

Oops. Two Irish tourists decided to take a spur of the moment dip in the Sydney Harbor…in the nude.

The duo, aged 20 and 24, were waiting to catch a ferry when they stripped down to their skivvies and plunged into the water. They took the scenic route around the Sydney Harbor, stopping by the Sydney Opera House. En route back to where the two men dumped their clothes, they were confronted by the authorities.

Both men were reprimanded for leaving the ferry in an unauthorized manner, which is very dangerous. Authorities were cited as saying that they could have been hit by another vessel and killed. Their punishment, was a cool $200 each for behaving recklessly and endangering other ferry-passengers. Doesn’t seem like very much considering the notoriety these two will be receiving, eh?

Note to self: In Australia it is okay to skinny dip, as long as there are no major vessels nearby. Good to know, Australia.
