Barcelona’s beaches inevitably attract sand sculptors with a sense of whimsy and humor, as evidenced in this photo. Beyond the city, there’s an entire park devoted to the art of sand sculpture. Sculptors Sergi Ramirez and Montserrat Cuesta created the Mon Arena Park, where they and other sculptors from around the world create an annual “outdoor museum” of sand sculptures. The park staff also host workshops and summer camps.
