- New Zealand is filled with people who know how to make a small business friendly. Couple that with the fact that we have a lot fo tourists to cater for and it stands to reason that there are some amazing bed and breakfast arrangements going on. Not all are fancy schmancy, though, so do your homework so that you find exactly what you are looking for. Hopefully this list can give you a good place to start. Some places are simply your basic room with breakfast included in the price. Some places try to offer a homely atmosphere. And some places go all out so that you come away feeling like you've stayed in a country manor. Be aware that by the nature of the small family B & B, locations often mean that you will need a car to access some of these. If you choose to stay in Ponsanby, you will be on the public transport line and also have the option of taking a taxi to the city. But further out, you will need to hire a car. But don't despair! Some of the best places are quite far out. You just need to decide whether you want an Auckland City experience, a house in the native bush experience, or a farm experience. Star here and you may just find what you are looking for.
