So you’ve decided you want to visit Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore.  You know you want to spend time in the casinos, but you’re not sure what else you want to do.  So how do you begin to plan your trip?

Well, a good first resource are the Atlantic City pages here at NileGuide, where you can search for restaurants, hotels, nightlife and things to do or check out pre-made Guides which you can follow as is or adapt to meet your interests.  After that, why not visit some local websites and blogs?

Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority

The Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority has a comprehensive site, where you can learn all about what’s new in the city that’s “always turned on”.   Check out special deals and package rates, where to stay, what to do, and how to get here.  The photo gallery alone will make you want to hop on the next plane or bus and head for the Shore.

Cape Cuisine with Rob Seitzinger

Foodies will like Cape Cuisine, a blog which focuses on all things food at the Jersey Shore.  Posts cover everything from special dinners offered at local restaurants, recipes to beer and wine events, and a superbowl party cooking demonstration that was offered at the library.

The blog Downashore is written by a group of producers who either grew up vacationing down the Shore or came to appreciate it later.  They have some nice photos taken this winter of snow-covered beaches.  They’ve also covered the air show, entertainment, restaurants, tourism news and much more.

Cheap Atlantic City

For the best deals at Atlantic City casinos and hotels, visit Cheap Atlantic City, a good source for finding out special hotel promotions and who’s performing where in town.  The site includes deals at local hotels for anyone who’d prefer to spend less and stay just outside the city.  Golfers – be sure to check out the AC Golf section.

Cape May MAC

If you’ll be visiting Cape May,  the Jersey Shore’s Victorian seaside resort, I highly recommend you visit Cape May Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities site.  They cover everything from family travel and girlfriends getaways to festivals and other events, accommodations, tours, dining, sightseeing and even weddings.

This is just a sampling of the many Jersey Shore sites available.  For more, visit the Blogroll on the Atlantic City Local Flavor blog homepage.
