Halloween in Beijing can be scary, but not because of the costumes. It’s scary because of how little goes on each year in the capital for this western-centric holiday. But don’t fear, we have some solutions for you.

Every year Migas throws some cool parties, and you can be sure to find an event of some sort on their frigid autumn rooftop. Live DJs combined with costumes and tapas this is a great way to spend a Halloween in the Middle Kingdom.

Vics is another party hot spot. You’ll find something hot going on at Vics every weekend, including a hot Halloween party that will get you geared up and ready to rumble. This club attracts some fun folks including locals and expats as well as tourists. For a party where you feel like you can walk right in and be the star of the show, this is the place to go.

For all your Halloween gear head to Ya Show, where you can find wigs, make-up, and costumes galore. You’ll also find some treats in other stores around Sanlitun. The basement part of the Sanlitun has loads of little shops that do their best to stay hot with the times, including holiday merchandise and seasonal stuff.

Enjoy your Halloween in Beijing, and if you really want a wild party head to Haidian or Wangfujing where the teenagers and students rock wild parties every night of the week. Whether a random Wednesday or Halloween, you’ll find people in costume trying to have a good time.
