Dead Horse Point State Park has an overlook that famously–and spectacularly–overlooks Canyonlands National Park. Stunning any time of year, fall is especially notable for the crisp light. Drive to the overlook and have a long gander at the forever views. You can hike, mountain bike, and walk your dog in the state park. And since it’s only 32 miles outside Moab, you have a host of restaurants, hotels, and other activities to choose from in the local area. See our list of ten reasons to visit Moab to add to your Dead Horse Point visit.
