The Löwenbräu Keller

In recent Wednesday restaurant highlights I’ve covered a few of the big flagship beer halls of the Munich breweries and today I’ll continue with that theme.  The Löwenbräu Keller is Löwenbräu’s big bad beer hall and it is hard to beat.

Located across the road from the brewery itself and only a five minute walk North from Munich’s main train station, if you’re looking for Löwenbräu beer and good Bavarian food, this is my #1 choice in town.

The Food:  Traditional Bavarian food.

The Beer:  This is the Löwenbräu flagship restaurant.  Even if you’ve had Löwenbräu in another country, try a Löwenbräu in Munich and I bet you’ll say it somehow tastes better here.

The Price:  Food prices here are on the high side of average.  You should be able to get a good meal here for under €15 plus beer.

The atmosphere:  Fairly quiet and classy, you could have a business meeting here or a nice romantic evening.
