Tourist season has begun in Munich!

In recent weeks the number of tourists in town has increased dramatically and now with Easter weekend approaching, the season has truly started.

What does that mean for you as a tourist?  Well, if you are planning on doing any tours, I would strongly recommend booking online before you get here or at least immediately when you arrive.  Popular tours like Neuschwanstein, Dachau,  and Salzburg have been selling out lately and so to make sure you can get to where you want to go it really is necessary starting this week and continuing until mid-August when things die down for a few weeks.  Some people don’t want to book ahead until they’re absolutely sure about weather conditions.  If this is the case for you, I would like to mention that most tour companies in Munich are quite flexible with changing the date of the tour as long as you approach them before the time of the booked tour to make the change.  Of course there are exceptions to this and you can always e-mail the companies to confirm.

Easter weekend this year is set to be sunny and warm making it perfect for any type of tour as well as the world famous beer gardens.

A reminder for shoppers:  both Friday (April 22nd) and Monday (April 25th) ALL stores are required to be closed.  Saturday some stores may have adjusted hours and some smaller stores may not open at all.

Have a wonderful Easter break and enjoy the beautiful weather while we have it!
