Erding Therme, an Indoor and outdoor Water Park near Munich

Things to Do — By Mike Richardson on June 29, 2011 at 10:11 am

As things are heating up here in Munich, water related activities might be on your agenda.  Whether you want family fun or a nice relaxing soak and sauna, Erding Therme is your answer near Munich.  As far as kids are concerned it is a water park with plenty of exciting water slides both indoor and outdoor.  As far as adults are concerned it is a relaxing spa where if you want, you can go over to the areas where the kids are allowed and ride on the water slides as well.  Several of the slides are certainly more for adults than kids and there is at least one where kids are not allowed on at all.  There are both indoor and outdoor slides, pools, and lounging areas.

Erding is a distant suburb of Munich located along the S-bahn line so that it is easily accessible. It is also fairly close to the airport so if your hotel is near the airport this would be very easy as well.

Getting there is easy.  From downtown Munich you take the S2 to AlteErding, one stop from the end of the line.  The S2 takes you there and runs every 20 minutes and takes approximately 45 minutes to get to AlteErding. From the S-bahn stop you can take a short walk to the Water Park & Spa, just follow the signs for “Erding Therme.”

Have fun in what I would consider a spa paradise for all ages!
