Sedona is world-famous for its spectacular red rock country, but it has also gained renown for its impressive arts and cultural scene, including a pair of major music festivals. Late summer and early autumn is high season for outdoor music in Sedona, with the mild evening weather setting the scene for long nights of great music in the high desert. Whether you’re craving classical, jazz, or rock, these upcoming Sedona music festivals will have you moving to the beat in one of the most beautiful cities in the Southwest.

The Sedona Golf Club is transformed into one of the region's most scenic outdoor concert venues early each fall with the arrival of the Sedona Jazz Festival.

Red Rocks Music Festival. This year, Sedona’s Red Rocks Music Festival will be celebrating its tenth anniversary. The classical music festival’s mission is to engage and challenge audiences through collaboration with national artists and leading Arizona performing arts organizations. This year’s festival runs from August 28 through September 4 and will feature Sonya and Elizabeth Schumann in performance, chamber music, and a concert titled “Baroque on the Rocks.” Performances are held at the Sedona Creative Life Center. Sedona Jazz on the Rocks. Established in 1981, Sedona Jazz on the Rocks has a well deserved reputation as one of the oldest and most venerable jazz festivals in the Southwest. Each autumn, Sedona plays host to some of the most exciting up-and-coming jazz talents along with legendary performers during one long weekend of stellar music. This year the festival runs October 7-8 at the Sedona Golf Resort, with headliners Los Lobos, Hiroshima, Sahnas Brothers, Dave Koz, Maxi Priest, The Rippingtons, Soulive, and others.
