Salt Lake City Souvenirs on a Shoestring

If you love cheeseball souvenirs, you’re going to love Salt Lake City. Utah’s notorious polygamous past has spawned quite the selection of kitschy souvenirs and they make some hilarious stocking stuffers and holiday gifts.

Give the gift of polygamy this holiday season with a six-pack of Polygamy Porter or the classic Polygamy Tee. If you’re really on a budget, the beer label itself makes an excellent souvenir. The label shows a scantily clad man surrounded by women touting the slogan: “Why Have Just One.” You can pick up t-shirts at Squatters Pub downtown or at Squatters inside the Salt Lake International Airport.

You’ll find no shortage of stickers and t-shirts proclaiming your membership in the Mormon Church at gift shops around town as well as plenty of other Mormonbillia like “I Heart Mormon Girls T’s,” recordings of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Music, and Joseph Smith action figures. You can also score a free copy of the Book of Mormon during your tour of Temple Square or at any hotel nightstand in town. Oh and don’t miss out on the holiday lights at Temple Square – they are gorgeous!

Some clever locals have dropped the ‘C’ from SLC and launched a disgustingly popular line of SL, UT souvenirs. Find SL, UT stickers and t-shirts around town and online.

You can also pick up some authentic table salt from the Great Salt Lake, personally I prefer the bath salts or salt water taffy.
