Well, yeah, Seattle has the largest farmers market in the U.S. But Pike Place isn’t the only…place for fresh produce, seafood and more.

Capitol Hill’s blog recently announced the Broadway Farmers Market is now open for the year. The market, located at Broadway Ave E and E Pine Street near Seattle Central Community College, will be open every Sunday from now until December 18th from 11am to 3pm.

The location is new, but many of the farmers are the same, bringing in their spring greens and edible plants, farm-fresh eggs, meat, poultry and seafood, artisan cheese, raw honey and tons of other goodies to Capitol Hill. This Sunday, May 8th, the market will open with a blessing by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and a little live music, courtesy of the Seattle Central Jazz Ensemble. Check it out and enjoy a few free treats thanks to the Seattle Culinary Academy and free seeds and plants for the first 200 shoppers thanks to Sunseed Farm!
