EAT! Vancouver is in town this weekend
Events, Food, Kid Friendly, Things to Do — By Natasha John on May 26, 2010 at 4:05 amStart fasting now, because this Friday starts a three-day binge of gluttony, celebrity chefs, local businesses, booze and more food than your stomach can (literally) handle. Don’t worry though, there are plenty of ‘take-home’ samples for you to grab and enjoy after your food hangover has subsided.
EAT! Vancouver is an annual Vancouver tradition that attracts hoards of hungry people by the thousands, to sample on some of the city’s much sought after food and to learn some tips from the professionals. In the past, we have seen the culinary skills from Anthony Sedlak, Anna Olsen and Bob Blumer; this year the Food Network’s Chuck Hughes, Larry Thomas and Chef Rob Feenie will be taking the stage.
The event is usually held at BC Place, but due to the lack of roof (see past blog post), it’s taking place at the new Vancouver Convention Centre. This location is awesome because after you’ve eaten your way through the room, head out to the Seawall and go for a stroll around Stanley Park and burn off some of that energy!
There are different stages where you can watch demonstrations, booths from food and drink related companies and stalls from local restaurants, where you can buy small plates to sample. You may think you’re just going for lunch, but don’t be surprised when you end up staying for dinner.
Bon Appetit!
EAT! Vancouver takes place on May 28th (2pm-9pm), May 29th (11am-9pm) and May 30 (11am-5pm)
