FUSE on a Friday night at the Vancouver Art Gallery

What's New — By Natasha John on June 4, 2010 at 4:38 am

The Vancouver Art Gallery is one of those venues that you wish you could hang out in after-hours. The soaring ceilings, open concept and large space make it an ideal spot to gather a massive crowd for one big party. Luckily, the VAG is on the same page as us and graciously host an event called FUSE, a couple times throughout the year.

The next FUSE event is being held on June 11, 2010 and starts at 6pm and goes until midnight. The theme this time is Girls! Girls! Girls! That got your attention, right?

The evening will be filled with ballet performances, drag queens, music and colourful art exhibitions. Expect performances by Ballet BC, Jojo Zolina, The Moustache Factory and some others. The best part about FUSE is that it brings out some of Vancouver’s finest and interesting mix of crowds. There’s an eclectic mix of varying ages and interests, but please note this is an event to leave the kids at home.

If you’re into checking art, they’ve got it. If you’re into mingling with friends and new people, while sipping on a drink; done. You want to dance? Well then, put on those dancing shoes. You want to re-live your seven year old dreams of being a ballerina? Watch the talented dancers from Ballet BC and you’re one step closer. Basically, they’ve got pretty much every aspect of what you would want to do on a Friday night covered and you’ve got no excuse to go check it out.

Admission is $22.50 (incl tax), but is free for art gallery members.
