Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone, but our friends to the South are preparing for the annual celebration; turkey, stuffing, gravy and cornucopias a plenty! But, this post isn’t about Thanksgiving, but it is closely related. We’re talking about Whistler’s 14th Annual Cornucopia and it’s all about wine and food! Cornucopia has evolved over the years and there’s certainly an event for everyone at this year’s festivities. It’s a great opportunity to learn from seasoned chefs, knowledgeable sommeliers and experienced vinters.
Whether you’re looking for a informative session, a culinary escape or a wild night on the town, Cornucopia has got you covered. The events take place all over Whistler and can be found at the Whistler Conference Centre, Ric’s Grill, Araxi and The Longhorn, to name a few.
For a night of dancing, djs and PINK Champagne, you’re going to want to buy tickets for the event being held at The Longhorn. Located at the base of the mountain, The Longhorn is easily accessible and walkable from anywhere in Whistler Village.
The holiday season is soon approaching and homemade gifts are always appreciated, especially in the form of culinary delights! Rogers’ Chocolates have long mastered the skillful art of chocolate making in the 125 years they’ve been practicing. This year Rogers’ Chocolate and Prospect Winery will be pairing together to teach you about the art of chocolate making and the skill of wine pairing. You won’t want to miss out on this one, ladies
Although there are plenty of fun events to go to at Whistler’s Cornucopia, there is one party that you don’t want to miss and it’s the CRUSH Gala Grand Tasting. There will be over 75 wineries participating in this year’s night, which incidentally has been so popular they extended the event to cover two nights. You can choose from Nov 12 or Nov 13.
If you’re a lady or gent what brunches, there’s a Bubbles and Brunch event that’s taking place at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and the theme is local produce and seafood, all paired with yummy bubbles. You can purchase your tickets for this event here.
If you can make it up to Whistler for any of these events, it’s very much worth the trip!
