Good times at Happy Isles

The Happy Isles Nature Center at the uppermost end of Yosemite Valley is open every day now, with great educational exhibits about the park’s wildlife, geology and more.  The sales area, with lots of good Yosemite books, especially geared to the younglings is only open for business on weekends now, but will be open seven days a week by Memorial Day.   This facility augments the main Visitor Center with a strong kid-oriented flavor.  In the summer, rangers conduct numerous Junior Ranger programs from here.  These are an excellent way for a family to build and share a lifelong connection to the natural world.
