The Bund refers to a portion of Shanghai’s waterfront that runs along the banks of the Huangpu River. The 52 building and many wharves in this area are some of the most beloved tourist spots in Shanghai, and it’s easy to see why. Art Deco, Gothic, and Romanesque architecture make for beautiful sightseeing, and the unobstructed views of Shanghai’s financial district, the Pudong, are very impressive.

In this image locals take advantage of a quiet moment before the hustle and bustle takes hold on The Bund, to practice the ancient art of T’ai-Chi.
