Are you enjoying the traffic-free Piazza del Duomo? Well now there will be even more space to wander through the ancient cobblestones of Florence. Piazza Pitti, Piazza Santo Spirito, Via Tornabuoni and Via Por Santa Maria will be open only to pedestrians from here on out. Mayor Renzi has been on a mission to change the way Florence runs since he got into office. His aim to make Florence cleaner and greener. Taxis, motorinos and electric vehicles will be forbidden to enter but residents will have the ability to enter at certain times with their vehicles. Only electric buses will be allowed to travel through these piazzas and streets. To see the changes in the bus routes go to ATAF.
