Live Music in Beijing

  • Beijing is a city that loves its music! From lush piano bars and Jazz lounges to raging bands and outrageous DJs, Beijing has it all. The music scene in itself is blossoming and you'll find talented young performers at many local and street bars around the city.

    The East Shore Live Jazz Cafe, Cigar Jazz Wine, and CD Blues Cafe are great places for excellent live Jazz that will exceed your expectations. Beautifully made drinks served by excellent staff round out the location and make it a fun evening.

    Mao and Propaganda are great live music spots that alternate between amazing DJs and kicking live rock, hip-hop and R&B. For fun nights with a youthful crowd, these are your best bets. Since the music is loud, you can sing along without causing a scene.

    China Doll and Mix Club are excellent spots for good DJs, live bands and even shows. This is a more upscale group of mid-life career folks who enjoy having fun weekend and listening to good music.

    You can make your own live music at Melody KTV lounge, the city's foremost karaoke bar. The lounges are private rooms with bar service and comfortable couches-- the perfect spot for a weekend of singing and, if you get rowdy, dancing.
