  • Fore! Maui has some great golf courses across the island. There are no debates as to which course is the most prestigious. Kapalua's Plantation Course has been hosting the PGA's first tournament of the year for the last decade. Golfers also enjoy Kapalua's Bay Course, made famous by its signature par 3 5th hole, which has players shooting over the Pacific Ocean to a cliff-side putting green.

The Dunes at Maui Lani is arguably the favorite course amongst locals. Located centrally, the course often stays off the radar of visiting tourists who play the coastal resort courses. Maui Lani offers great rates for residents, so if you are visiting someone on Maui, the Dunes might be your best option.

The Wailea Golf Course offers a collection of three courses with amazing views of the coastline and the snorkeling island of Molokini. Be sure to pack the camera when playing this course!

Finally, Ka'anapali Golf Resort is listed twice, as it offers two great course to pick from (much like Kapalua). For ocean views, be sure to play the Royal Course, which has had the privilege of hosting LPGA events in recent years.
